Here is my situation: I bought an Samsung 226CW LCD monitor. I calibrated the monitor using a GretagMacbeth Eye one display 2 using the software version 3.6.2.

After calibration the shadow area of the images using the Eye 1 profile are all blocked up. I see this when I bring the image up to 200 or 300 percent on the screen.

Before calibration using the Samsung profile the shadows areas are not block up. They have a pretty smooth gradation. When I go back to the Eye profile I see the blocked up area in the blacks.

If I bring up the image in ACDSEE ver 4 the blacks are NOT blocked up.

This happens only when I bring the images up in any version of Photoshop.

I calibrated on the advanced mode correctly moving the settings as recommended.

Do you have any ideas what’s going on here?

I use Windows XP Pro, CS3, Eye one display 2 calibrator
