Need help for crop tool

My Photoshop CS3 works perfectly until recently. Now, when I use crop tool to crop an image, the whoe image will be cropped regardless how much I really crop. Does any one experience this? I’d appreciate any help.

Do you mean the whole image vanishes?
Try resetting the tool.
With the tool selected go to the down pointing arrow next to the crop tool icon on the options bar.
Click this to open the tool preset picker.
You will then see a right pointing arrow, click on it.
Go down to and hit "Reset tool"
If this doesn’t work, delete you preferences file as per the help instructions.
