Brushes & patterns won’t save…

I have photoshop cs3 extended. I have tried everything, but I will upload my brushes and patterns and when I close the photoshop or restart my photoshop the brushes are gone. I add the brushes from imagepacks, it’s always done it, but its getting a little exausting adding them everytime I am working with photoshop. What can I do to fix this? Thanks!

From the palette flyout menus choose Save Brushes (or whatever) and Save them someplace with a name. Then when you load them they should stay.

One place you could save them to is the appropriate folders in the Presets folder.
