PSD PNG conversion/import

Hi, I need a plugin/filter/program that can convert PNG files to PSD files or let me open them in Photoshop with layers.

I’m pretty photoshop savvy but can’t work this one out.

Sorry if this is already answered but I can’t work this one out on what I’ve read.

PNG files *don’t have layers*. Ergo, no such beast can exist.

I’m pretty photoshop savvy but can’t work this one out.

Appologies, I was talking about the png files fireworks produces, but I have since discovered that you can export from fireworks as PSD (my workmate has been re-educated :P)

But the answer was correct, PNG does not support layers no matter what program produces it.
