OK, I’ve searched the knowledgebase, scanned this forum, did a Google, etc…

When I try to enter type on a Photoshop CS3 doc, the text is humongous. If I set the font size down to 6pt it still is over 200 pixels high. Anything over 20pt is taller than my monitor.

I never installed the beta CS3, did have CS2 prior to upgrading.

It used to work fine.

Any ideas?

Look at ImageĂ’Image size…

I’m guessing your image resolution is way outside the standard range of 72 – 300ppi.

Change it something befitting final use output resolution.

I stumbled into the cause. Something is resetting my image resolution to 2822.222. If I create a new document, it defaults to Clipboard at 2822.222 instead of Web or Photo at 72.

How do I reset the default? I change it, open a new document, save it and the New document goes back to Clipboard.

In preferences I have 300 for Print, 72 for Screen set as default.

that’s about right.

change it to 72 before hitting ok when creating the new document. the next one should also default to 72…
