Hey,

I know this isn’t exactly directly Photoshop related, but I’m not sure where else to ask.

I’m a graphic design student and I have recently realized that my monitor is absolutely HORRIBLE for this field.

I’m looking for a new one. Since I’m a poor college kid :(, something around the $300 price range would be ideal.

If you know of a good one that fits this general price range, please let me know.

Thanks!

That happens to be an excellent monitor. If you’re having issues it may be that you need to calibrate it.

I can assure you that you won’t find anything better for $300.

I second what Bob says – this is a fantastic monitor. Are you driving it via the VGA inputs, or the DVI inputs? DVI will give a considerably better image.

Okay, let me try and elaborate:

Aside from viewing angles, the colors come out okay if I use my Dell 2009w color settings.

However, I’ve recently installed Monitor Calibration to correct my other colors (in windows), but this messes up the photoshop colors.

Is there any way to only use Monitor calibration for windows and not photoshop?
