cant save animation for desktop background

Hi, Im having troubles saving my image which has animation in it so that I can set it as my desktop background. I went into image ready and selected save optimized as and then tried to set it as my background but it did not show in my pictures to choose from and when I tried to right click>set as backgroun it didnt have any animation. Is there a special way to save an animiated image for your background? If so please help

What version of Windows? You may need to set your desktop as a web page; not a not a standard desktop.

Control Panel->Display Properties->Customize Desktop->Web->…

As Jim said – only web enabled desktops will show animated images. All other stuff requires tools like Windowblinds or the Dreamscene functions in Vista Ultimate.
