Which Gray profile for the web?

Hello,

I noticed that my gray scale JPG tagged with 20%gray displays darker when viewd with Windows Picture Viwer; to which profile should I convert my gray scale images for web viewing?

Gamma 2.2 would probably be the safest.

Unless you’re using a Mac when Gamma 1.8 is safest.
