Hi all,
I have been using CS4 for a few weeks now, and all of the sudden my pixel grid has disappeared and when I go to show, it has disappeared from there as well! Does anyone know how to get the grid back? Thanks

do you have Open GL turned on?

You must have Open gL disabled in the Photoshop Preferences under the Performance Category

That should read:

You must have OpenGL ENabled Β….

and you need to check View menu/Show/Pixel Grid.

Β…or maybe Wade meant:

You must have accidentally disabled Open gL in the Photoshop Preferences under the Performance Category, so enable it. B)

If you have Open GL disable, it is enabled by default, then you will not have pixel grid available in the Show menu.

I was not tell the OP how to fix it as they are, I am certain, intelligent to understand what I wrote and the inference as well.

So to review, they must have disabled Open GL as they had Pixel Grid previously available, they do not have to check Pixel Grid to make it available as it is by default en after disabling Open GL and then re enabling Open GL Pixel Preview has to be disabled by user intent.

Thee is no reason to tell the OP what to do in this case.

Is that clear enough Ann?

The problem you see is in your head, not with profiles and not with the way things are worded but solely in your head as quite a number of people especially on the photoshop Forum have noted?

Get it out of your head and you will be just fine you won’t even notice the few times I pop in here.

I cross posted with Buko I would not have even posted if I had seen his post.

It only required one post, either one would have done.

If you have openGL enabled and it’s still not showing it’s likely because you have too many documents open. Pixel Grid only functions with <=5 files open at a time.

Won’t even show up in the menu or key shortcuts dialog if you have more than 5 docs up.
