Hey folks…

Just a ping to let you all know that the long awaited updates to the Adobe Primers & White Papers have started hitting the Adobe web site…

They’re in two places:

From Adobe digital imaging solutions for photographers <http://www.adobe.com/digitalimag/ps_pro.html>
scroll to the bottom of the page

And…

From Adobe digital photography white papers and primers <http://www.adobe.com/digitalimag/ps_pro_primers.html>

These are updates to the current papers-some totally re-written and new papers will be loaded in the coming weeks & months…

There is no such thing. This program is so broad that "most important" will vary according to what use you want to make of it (web design, graphic design, photography, etc.)

where to find good free instruction for CS3 extended,

google. "photoshop cs3 extended tutorial [term]". no quotes. replace "[term]" with the feature you’re interested in learning.

example "photoshop tutorial vanishing point"

Maybe I’m missing something here but the only PDF’s I see are in your second reference. The first reference only has tabs that move from short paragraphs to short paragraphs, not PDF’s. However, they are useful bits of information.
