I see the list price of Photoshop CS4 is about $700. On eBay, the price of PS CS4 plus Extended is less than $400.

1. Does anyone see a problem in buying CS4 on eBay?
2. How about used (where obviously the cost is much less)?
3. I admit I haven’t done my research – but is the Extended version
worth purchasing?
4. Are any other components of the CS4 design suite worth considering?

I realize no one knows what I do (or am going to do) with PS (nor do
I). I’m anxious to get back in the game and am just looking for
opinions since I’ve been away from the computer for so long. I’m afraid price is an issue at this time. I’m using Vista Home Premium Edition now with an Intuos 2 pad. My monitor is still a LaCie CRT and I’m looking for advice on a top knotch LCD monitor (or maybe multiple monitors). Thanks for all opinions in advance……..

I made the mistake of buying an "official" version off ebay for less than the retail price. Turns out, I called for support and Adobe told me that my serial number was invalid. I had to purchase it AGAIN, this time paying full price. The one I bought cheap worked fine, until I needed support. It’s no different than buying bootleg, don’t be fooled.
