One pixel can be a (again, for example) 16 bit value for representing color and brightness.
The amount of DPI (dots per inch) is only of interest if you want a hard-copy (or photoprint) of the image, not for web use.
DPI = Dot Per Ink
PPI = PIXEL Per Ink
LPI = Line Per Ink
The ‘I’ means inch here…
That’s what I meant too, but I don’t think you get it. And now with newer Photoshop you won’t see the term "DPI" and "LPI" like used to.
Different words but same meaning, and they are part of ALL graphic formats. Now, you LOWER your DPI then VIEW (not printing) and you will see the 3D
No you do not… lowering the DPI wil only cause the printed picture to look blurry. no 3rd dimention.
I you are able to put a 3rd dimention on a 2d surface (i.e. paper): you are a very very rich man.
As I said GIVE me a JPG without PPI just for DISPLAYING.
And I can tell you that I can have a much more detail printing from 1-PPI than 150-PPI or 300-PPI image. Do you get this far?
I stop discussing here… apparently you do not understand the article I linked here…
I don’t think any more discussing will be needed. You just create your JPG without the 3rd value you learned from the article you gave us, then I will CUT OFF my tounge asking for your forgiveness.
I know wikipedia can be somewhat doubtfull, but:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JPEG
There is no sucht item there as the 72dpi (or whatever value) in the text.
A PICTURE HAS NO 3RD DIMENTION IN A GRAPHICS FILE, JUST x AND y
(I will not react anymore on this thread….)
See above! I don’t say anything about 72-PPI specific, as I even tell you that the 1-PPI can even give more detail on *both* Printing and Displaying than 300-PPI image.
And I don’t say anything about 3-D either or the image has nothing to do with 3-D. Samething, people talking not just by opening the mouth but it will depend on many different thing. Example
– A tounge
– A mouth
– A vocal
– A brain
And additional thing like the specific lanuguage and whatever may need to make a specific sound.
Again, give me a regular/normal (1 or 2 dimention) without the 3rd value. I don’t care any format, I don’t care where you get the image. Or you can capture from a 2D movie whatever.
