Legit software purchased from Amazon and key entered etc.

However when I start the editor, it asks me to sign in for the "trial" software.

Is there anywhere I can see if my software has been properly registered?

You must sign in with an Adobe profile / account, that authenticates the license. You do not sign out, that de-athenticates it. You do not need to be connected to the internet after authenticating the first time.
