I can and I’m on a Mac too. You have to click the checkbox for JPEG first. After that, you can fill in the JPEG compression.

Sounds like you never went far enough(?)

When I open a RAW file in CS4 and then choose to Save-As, I choose JPEG, and click OK and the next dialog box asks me for compression level, I choose value between 1-12 and then click OK.

yes I agree…..no problem for the "save as" solution….one by one………but when I have 200 tiff’s to change in jpg I want to do that the quickest and easiest way

I still don’t understand what exactly goes wrong, as Image Processor on my system works as it should work. What happens if you try to run Image Processor anyway? And can you post a screenshot somewhere (not in this group, but on a website)?

How many bit are you trying to change into a JPG? as JPG images are 8 bits whereas raw and TIFF are over that. convert back to an 8 bit image.
