Hello:

In Photoshop, I would like to do the following. Please let me know if it’s possible and if so, how to.

I have a graphic with text in front of the background, obscuring some parts of the background the text is.

I would like to remove the text, but replace the text with different text, but in the same font.

Is this possible using Photoshop?

If so, how?

Thanks in advance.

It is possible, how to depends on what the background is and text colour amongst other things.
I assume that the image consists of only one layer?
Text removal in this case would be judicious use of the clone tool, (S on the keyboard) but without seeing the image it would be difficult to say which technique would be best.(colour selection etc.)
Could you post the image to http://www.pixentral.com
When you use the type tool to add your text it will add a type layer above the background layer.
