Are you dividing it into four quadrants…top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right? Unlock the background layer, if it isn’t already and press CTRL+T to resize. make sure Snap and Ruler is enabled and drag both horizontal and vertical guides out which will snap to the center of the transform box. Press ESC to clear the transform box and grab your slice tool. Click create slices from guides, name the slices with the slice select tool and "save for web." No need to go to ImageReady.
For this to work you need to "pretend" to resize a layer that is the exact dimension of your file. If you select a layer that has been enlarged or is smaller and off center, this won’t work. Another way is to fill an empty layer and "pretend" to resize it.

I have a PSD that I need to "divide" into equal parts (i.e. 64×180). Is there any easy way to do this ? Right now I am setting my selection window w/the sizes, copying each section and pasting into a new file so I can export it out for web.
Thanks.
