I found this:

but it doesnt seeem to be available. Is it what I need to be able to switch from Spanish to English and back? and where can I find it?

thanks

jsnovak, they’re 2 physically different versions of photoshop. The English version and the Spanish version. There is no way to "switch back and forth" between both languages in the same app.

Perhaps, if you had both versions they could co-exist on the same box and you could run whichever one you wanted, but of course that’s a bit overkill and expensive to have 2 licenses. I only mention it as an option if you absolutely have to have this ability.

the problem is I havea SPanish version available for use…and I dont speak Spanish…seems silly that the program doesnt have a language option.

Then the question is, why did you buy the spanish version when you need english? You may be able to contact adobe and trade in the spanish version for an english version. I think it’s only shipping if you’re going from the latest version to the latest version. If you’re going from say 6 or 7 to CS, you’ll need to pay upgrade costs too.

seems silly that the program doesnt have a language option.

Why is that silly? I think it would be silly (and bloated) if it DID allow you to switch languages! Think about all the extra code you’d never use if it supported say, 20 different languages (some of which go right to left, or have picture alphabets, etc) each with it’s own set of rules and alphabets.

I’m not trying to ‘win’, jsnovak. I’m telling you a fact. If you want english photoshop you need to BUY english photoshop! Sheesh! I even told you how you can exchange your spansish version! What more do you want? Would you like me to lie to you and say yes, you can make your spanish version change to english by pressing these magic keys? Ain’t gonna happen because YOU NEED TO BUY THE ENGLISH VERSION OF PHOTOSHOP TO HAVE PHOTOSHOP WORK IN ENGLISH. Capeesh?

Pictures are pictures in any language. And obviously, you’re pretty fluent in English, too, so the menu and error messages shouldn’t be a problem. The fonts? Spanish is left to right, and doesn’t Photoshop use the fonts you have installed? What exactly is the problem?
