Dear all:
I am trying to use Photoshop to create a special effect for a presentation.
The effect I am trying to duplicate is the one created one a selection window is drawn across the desktop on the Mac’s OS X. When the cursor is placed at a point of the screen, the mouse button is kept pressed and then the cursor is dragged across in a diagonal motion, a whitish-translucent window is created covering the objects within this window.
My need is to create this effect to mask items o a slide during a presentation only leaving the items that I wish to focus on while all the others appear translucent or masked.
How can such an effect be created over an image in Photoshop ?
After the image is transformed with this effect I will then transfer it to Apple’s Keynote for my presentation. In case the information helps, I wish to have this mask used as a transition from one slide displaying all items to the next where most items will be masked and only the one in evidence will be fully clear and visible.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Joseph Chamberlain
