Hi,

Is there any difference between learning PhotoShop first or is it better to learn Illustrator first.

Assuming you want to get an intermediate knowledge of both is it easier to move from PhotoShop to Illustrator and everyone tells me it is but surely Illustrator is an application in it’s own right.

If you wanted an internediate knowledge of both, which would take up most of your time (Ballpark Guess).

I’m assuming half thepeople here know illustrator very well.

They are different programs. Different uses. One compliments the other. You will find yourself using both at the same time and learning both at the same time. In either case, you will be learning them from here to eternity. If you plan on buying; it makes the most sense to buy the whole CS suite. Keith.

I agree. If you come from a photography background, then PS should be far easier. If you are a graphic artist, then probably AI. Also, one’s experience with other programs, like Corel Paint – easier to learn PS, Corel Draw – easier to learn AI. Not to imply that these programs (Corel) equal the Adobe programs, but there are similarities. If one is a blank slate, it should be a tossup.
