Does anyone know (remember) which version of Photoshop starts retaining the EXIF info from your digital files from
digial cameras? Was it ver. 5, 6 or 7?

Photoshop 6 (5 came before the EXIF spec.) preserved EXIF data – sometimes when it shouldn’t have (causing problems with some proprietary tags, or failing to update some tags). Photoshop 7 updated and discarded tags as needed.
