I’m trying to convert a load of phpbb gifs to grayscale – but if I open them, convert, and then go to save, it wont let me save, i have to go through the dialogue box and "Save As"

This is pretty annoying if you have 20 or so images.
I tried used the batch Convert RGP to grayscale, but it threw up a load of errors about filters or options not available at that time

Any ideas?
Thanks

Never mind – its to do with all that Image mode type – I have to Image mode->grayscale, Image mode->Indexed RGB, Yes flatten layers, then I can save.

There’s got to be a quicker way to make a batch of gifs into grayscale?!
