This came up at work that another worker created.A custom created image had a word misspelled, let’s use the CNN logo for an example. The customer said it should be, CNG. I have the original graphic. Is there a fast way to change the last N of CNN to a G using Photoshop? Or would I just have to create something using his work as an example, hoping I can get close to what he did? Thanks.

If you have the graphic source file and the proper font the change could be done quickly.

Assuming you don’t have editable type or know the correct fonts…

Select the C, Ctrl-J to copy to another layer. On the first layer Marquee or lasso the final N and delete or otherwise fill with same color as background. Then slide the copied C into its place. Then it’s a matter of changing the C to a G which should not be difficult. If the actual CNN logo were used it would be a matter of using parts of where the letters connect to make the horizontals and verticals of the G.

Here’s a quick (about 15 min) and dirty example:

Thanks, guys, for the tips. Looking at your CNG guide, edgh, (very good, by the way) I think I can now handle this.
