I have never scanned slides before. We have a slide scanner. What do I need to know to scan slides? What resolution should they be? The final output will be a powerpoint presentation.

Thanks.

I would recommend scanning at the highest resolution that you can [usually something like 2400dpi]. You can reduce the size later.

I guess that, if you know the final size you need [i.e. the resolution of the video projector to be used with PowerPoint], you could simply match that.
