Friends – Suddenly, when I right click a JPG and choose "preview" from the menu, CS opens and opens the file. Before this morning, clicking "preview" opened the image in Microsoft "Picture and FAX Viewer". I liked it this way. Please help me resolve this issue – Thanks, Bob

This isn’t a CS proplem. It’s a windows issue. When you loaded CS it associated the jpg file with CS. You don’t say what system your running so I’ll assume 2000 or XP.
Go to any windows file , open tools ,folder options, file types. Scroll to jpg and try to change. Browse to viewer you want to open jpg. Sometimes a change won’t do so you’ll have to delete jpg as a registered file type. Then go to any jpg, open and when it comes up open with , browse to the viewer you like.
Hope this helps.

I’m mostly a lurker on this site , so I like a question I can answer. Gives me a chance to pay back some of the good stuff I get off this newsgroup.

Hello All,

As stated your file program association has been changed – this is also assuming you are using the afore mentioned O.S.’s
Another way to solve the situation is to:
-right click on the file you want to open in windows picture fax viewer. -open with
-choose program
-select windows picture and fax viewer
-make sure the box in the bottom left corner is ticked
-‘always use the selected program to open this kind of file’ -click ok
