How to go about scanning and emailing wedding pictures

sarcasm notwithstanding, here are some basic rules to go by: keep the image dimensions below 760 pixels wide and not taller than about 550 pixels high – this will ensure that the pictures will fit on most people’s screens without scrolling

a good guide is 600×400

try to save the files in a reduced quality (lossy) .jpg format (without degrading the appearance of the picture too heavily) so that each image remains under 100k in size (this will ensure that several can be attached to an email without fear of it not sending)

everyone has to learn this stuff whether they pick it up intuitively due to their enormous cranial capacities, or have to be painstakingly led by the hand… and HELPING is what these newsgroups are about anyhow isnt it?????

perhaps some of the more seasoned veterans could take the time to rememeber what it was like to know nothing about a subject, and how much people’s help was appreciated at that time!
