After loading Photo Shop 7.0.1 and printing several files, the quality of prints on my Canon i9100 was noticed to be extremely poor. The print quality is similar to 72 DPI, or less, for a 200 or greater DPI file. The same files printed through Photo Shop LE were excellent. Photo Shop 7.0.1 does not use the Canon print driver, but its own. The ONLY way I can get useable prints via 7.0.1 is to save them, quit 7.0.1, open LE, load the file then print. The driver in Photo Shop 7.0.1 does not support very many features of the i9100, such as borderless printing, and is not very stable as it is. i.e., The ‘borders’ created with the 7.0.1 driver are very seldom the same width….even for the same file. Is there any way I can remove the Adobe print driver and use only the Canon driver?

The driver in Photo Shop 7.0.1 does not support

there’s only one driver on your system. it’s no differnt from app to app. go through Print with Preview and you can select printer options in there.

Absolutely! You have to pick a number of parameters if you want correct printing. If you haven’t done this with either app, I suspect that even the LE output is not optimized.

For starters, your printer space should be "BJ Color Printer Profile 2000". You won’t find it with the name "Canon", for some strange reason.
