Actions VS. Droplets

Are there any major Differences between actions and droplets? Don’t they esentially do the same thing except an Action is run in PS while a droplet can be left on the desktop? Any other functional differences?

That’s pretty much the case Mike, although it is perhaps more correct to think of an action as a component of a droplet or of an automated batch. I basically think of a droplet as an external way of accessing a batch, with either invoking a pre-defined action so as to apply it across a range of files.
