ICC Profile problem

When we try to open Photoshop we get the error "Could not initialize Photoshop because the ICC profile is invalid". I have seen this at a few posts but without a fix to it. Has anyone figured out how to get around this error?

I believe you’ll have to reconstruct your display profile using Adobe Gamma or another similar utility. Good tutorial at <http://www.computer-darkroom.com/ps7-colour/ps7_2.htm> .
