Hi,

Subject says the most.
I’m pretty sure that Photoshop CS also have these two tools(?) but are they working in the exact same way as in Photoshop 7?

Yes, plus there are some extra features- I believe you can heal onto a new layer.

Speaking of the patch tool…

I was trying to edit a picture utilizing the patch tool. I am attempting to use the disappearing surfer tutorial

<http://www.russellbrown.com/body.html>

from the above site.

I tried masking out the bottom area (as I understand it the patch tool won’t suck in pixcels it cannot "see"). Doesn’t seem to be working though.

I am useing a hard edge for making selections and anti-aliasing is off.

Any ideas?

….. and you can now fade whatever you have ‘Healed’ in a similar manner to other tools. Previously you had to make a layer copy, do the ‘healing’ and then reduce the layer opacity.

It works fine here. Are you sure you’ve done what the tutorial says?
