Hi all, I’m running ver 6.01 and if I save an image as a .jpeg file, the file (after it’s saved) is darker than the original and has a bluish tint. When I save it as a .psd file, I don’t have this problem. I get an error when I open the image in Photoshop (the RGB document does not have embedded color profile) then it asks me how I want to proceed. I select assign profile (my current monitor) then ok. I’m running this on a PIII system 850mhz on XP. Please Help.

Ps I’ve tried saving for web, but still unsuccessful.

rerun adobe gamma from the control panel. maybe your monitor profile is screwy.

Don’t assign monitor profile, That one’s used by PS color management in the background for conversions. Instead assign srgb for web or adobe 98 for print. And do as Dave said.
