i have a photoshop 7 full version from australia. Is there anything stopping my sister sending me the upgrade from the states? (I would like to have vaguely legal software!)
Doesn’t the new Photoshop CS have a product activation similar to WinXP? If the product serial number has been activated on one system, then it can’t run on a second one. I may be wrong about this, but its worth checking.
You assume his sister sends him the update that she has already used herself. That’s obviously illegal, but that’s not what he is saying. He may want his sister to send him the update from the US because software is notoriously more expensive in other countries.
I think he’ll find that Adobe says that each and every operation of it’s company in each and every country is a separate organisation, though a subsidiary of Adobe. And that, consequently, they expect you to purchase in the country where it is being used. Anything else breaks the EULA.
