Is it possible to record an action for the rotate->arbitrary tool but not use the same value each time it runs? Right now – if I record it – it uses the same degree of rotation for each image I run the action on.

Thanx,

Not possible in an Action without placing a "Stop" so you can manually enter a value for the rotation. And this defeats your purpose for automation.

It should be possible with scripting, but I’m clueless on these matters. Keep checking back, perhaps someone who knows will weigh in with a solution.

It’s not possible to have a computer make visual value judgements. The computer does not know what you consider to be ‘crooked’ or ‘straight.’ If you have fewer than 1000 images to alter, I would just do them by hand. If you have more than 1000 images to do, you can hire an outside shop to parner with you in the process. You might incorporate the computer action with a stop to do the opening and closing for you to help speed things up.

What is the determining factor in the angle of rotation? Are you trying to incrementally rotate something?
