Hi all, I am running Photoshop 6 on a Windows 2000 sr2 machine, 2.4mhz, 1 gig ram. Not every time, but quite often when I start PH6 all of my preferences have been reset to the factory defaults.

I am a big Mac user and this is my first time on PC so I have no idea whats going on. Is it Photoshop or is it my windows machine? Is there an upgrade or patch for windows Photoshop?

thanx in advance,
jeff

This may be a problem with PS6 running on Windows 2000. I may be wrong here but I suspect that if PS reads an incorrect setting for a preference it may automatically reset the preferences to avoid a malfunction in software operations. There may be some compatibility issues for PS6 on Win 2000. I recommend updating to PS7 as newer releases are tested against the newer OS’s. PS6 is no longer maintained (I am assuming).
