Howdy

I’m running an nVidia GeForce 4 MX-440 video
card with dual monitor output. The OS is XP Home SP-2.
The nVidia drivers are version 61.77.

The problem: Photoshop 7 dialogs are invisible.

Doesn’t happen with Photoshop 6.

Anyone seen this before ? Any fixes ?

Thanks for any info.

Have you tried either Window>Workspace>Reset Palette locations or trashing preferences? All I can think of right now.

Hi Ed

Have you tried either Window>Workspace>Reset Palette locations or trashing preferences? All I can think of right now.

Neither worked.

I escalated, and did a complete uninstall/reinstall.
Still no fix.

Thanks for the thoughts …

ps — fun going to your website. I remember your work
for Marvel and DC. Nice stuff.

There’s an option in the nVidia drivers to prevent windows from opening off-screen in
Display properties->Settings->Advanced->tab with nVidia logo->Desktop Management->Windows
It might help.

Thanks. I hadn’t set that option.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t fix the problem.

Aaaagggh.

Howdy Jason

Trash PS prefs?

Bing !!!!

That did it.

Muchos muchos thankos.

Stan

ps — I’d mistakenly thought that uninstalling and
reinstalling PS would redo the prefs file … but
obviously it didn’t … curious ….
