Can anyone tell me if PhotoShop 7.0 contains a PDFWriter also? I keep getting conflicting information. If it should, how can I get it to load on Windows XP?

Photoshop can save files as PDF. Just use file>save and pick PDF as the file type.

I guess I should better state my problem. After I downloaded PhotoShop 7.0 I noticed an Acrobat icon in Excel the next time I opened it. It was sitting on a toolbar line all by itself. I clicked on it and tried to drag it to the next line on my Excel toolbar and it disappeared. I also noticed that I have an option in the File menu of Excel to "Create Adobe PDF". When I click on that it tells me that I do not have a PDF Writer installed and I need to reinstall Create Adobe PDF. I also have the option under Tools/Customize/Toolbar to have "Create Adobe PDF" icon on my toolbar but when I check that I get nothing but a downward arrow to add more toolbar icons. Since I had just installed the PhotoShop I thought the Acrobat icon and Create Adobe PDF had to come from that. If so, how do I get the icon back and the Create Adobe PDF installed? I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the Photoshop. I also downloaded Reader 6.0 (I had 5.0).

This has nothing to do with Photoshop. You need the full version of Adobe Acrobat to create PDFs with Excel.

Can you explain why the Adobe Acrobat icon appeared in my Excel toolbar after I installed Photoshop? And how do I get it back?

No and no.

Linda – you had to install something ELSE to get that icon. Most likely you installed Acrobat.
