Hi there,

From time to time Photoshop and other Adobe Apps such as Premiere and Illustrator like to download files from Adobe to update themselves and fix any bugs that are around…

Normally the programs run this at the start up or shut down of the program and I am all of a sudden getting an error message stating that there was a problem connecting to Adobe Online. It reads as follows:

"File could not be downloaded

<http://cgi…tform=0DLLVer=2.8.3.3AOMVer=2.8.3.3>

There was a problem connecting to Adobe Online. Please check your network settings in the Internet Control Panel

21:-139"

I have not altered any of my network settings or adjusted my firewall…

Anyone who knows what this is and how it can be sorted, please..?

Don,

It is a common problem and most folks just switch off the "Check for updates automatically". In fact, all that is being updated is the Online Manager files, and not the application files anyway…….

I have the same problem that Don had. I have to go to Adobe Online to set my update preferences. Should I check "never" in the update frequency window? Thanks.
