How to Create 3D Text?

A buddy of mine created some Text that was 3D and looked just like Chizzled Ice. I have ben trying to see how I could do the same, but I can’t even seem to create 3D text, been searching through Actions and other forums all morning but can’t find anything closely relating to this issue.

I don’t want to ask HIM though LOL.

Nice reply… we do this kind of stuff with each other and other buddies too. Not like you have to be an jerk about it. Not to mention that our only contact is through email and he tends to write essays on everything he says.

Are you having a bit of a friendly competition with him, or what? Or does he just not like to give away his secrets?

Friendly Competition is all… I have a mere 2 weeks of use with Photoshop from FullSail, and he has been using it as a hobby for some time.

I had enough and asked, he used 3D Studio Max… how can I add a pic to show it? I don’t have any webspace.

there are a lot of places on the web that offer free webspace, places such as Tripod <http://www.tripod.lycos.com/>

BTW, given that he used a specific 3D application to create his graphic, you won’t be able to recreate an exact replica of his image using only PS.
