I use Photoshop CS.

When I use the Help > Photoshop Help… menu, (or F1). it attempts to access the wrong address. It tries to access:
http://%1%20" file:///C:/Program%20Files/Adobe/Photoshop%20CS/Help/help.ht ml"

Obviously, this fails with "Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable."

It should be accessing:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Help\help.html

Is this a known bug? Is there a workaround? Am I doing something wrong, (other than trying to access Help!)?

I currently use a shortcut:
file:///C:/Program%20Files/Adobe/Photoshop%20CS/Help/help.ht ml This works, but I would prefer the Help menu to work properly.

Hi!

I think something similar occured to me before. The help files couldn’t open. I have two internet browsers: Internet Explorer 6 and Avant Browser. The problem happens when the default browser is not Internet Explorer 6. I didn’t do any experiment, but it seems that the opening of Photoshop help files is associated with the default browser at the time of installing Photoshop (this needs a confirmation or negation by someone else). So, try to make IE 6 your default browser, and re-run Photoshop again. I hope it will work for you too.
