you loaded a bad font. loading a ton at a time is a bad idea. always do them in managable batches or use a type manager. as it is, you need to isolate the bad font(s) and remove it/them.
take half the fonts out of the font directory, delete the font list files and try again. if it works, the bad font is in the batch you moved. if it doesn’t work, the batch you moved is probably ok and the bad font is in the batch you left. proceed by continuing to half the "bad" batch until you get to the bad font.

how can i tell a bad font from a good font =D , thanks for answering my question though.. would that font have a certain bad file name at the end ?
also i just got suit case nine ? is there a way i can use this program to help me locate the bad font 🙁

as i said. remove half. run photoshop. if it starts, the bad font is in the half you removed. if not, it’s in the half you left behind. swap and split again. keep going until you narrow it down to the bad font.
eh i found the bad type.. with fontexpert program.. its about 4 of them.. and they dont want to unregister , uninstall or be deleted manually from the windows font file…=/ is there anythingi can do?
They may not actually be there, or they are links that point to bogus locations (like a CD-ROM). If you’re comfortable with editing the Windows Registry, you can correct the flaky entries.
The Registry key that lists fonts is easy to find. But if you can’t find it on your own, you shouldn’t be looking, so I won’t help you find it.
Boot into Command Prompt only and delete from ‘DOS’….
In case you are not familiar with DOS commands, here’s what you need to typw:
When you’re at thenC:/prompt:
CD windows
(or CD winnt if that’s where the O/S is installed)
CD Fonts
del fontname (where fontname is the font file name i.e. arial.ttf)
repeat for other 3 fonts
Reboot
repeat for other 3 fonts
Some may be links, not fonts. You’ll still have to correct bogus Registry entries. Relax, have fun!
