Win XP Pro w/ 128MB RAM

I’m teaching in a school lab that has Dell computers with Win XP Professional as operating system. Each computer only has 128 MB RAM and we’re trying to run PSE 2 and PS 7 on differing machines.

I’m teaching in a school lab that has Dell computers with Win XP Professional as operating system. Each computer only has 128 MB RAM and we’re trying to run PSE 2 and PS 7 on differing machines. I’m finding that the computers can get balky with this low RAM amount. However, nobody else using the computers has complained or said anything about this problem. Am I missing something by asking for a memory upgrade on these computers?

Other apps than PS might use less memory…

But 128 MB is the minimum requirement for WinXP alone without any application.

I second that! Typical school screw-up. Someone without a clue looked at the minimal specs – for the OS!

You need more RAM! 512mb minimum!
