What I did was I created text with a carved (bevel) look ontop of the image by creating a duplicate of the background, writing text, hiding text, inverted selection, removed backgound, etc, etc..

My question is, how do I do this again with more text without going through the whole process (i.e. a macro, or command) to do what I just did to newer text?

thanks

Hmmmm, sounds like a RTFM, F1 help file, keyword "Actions" search to me…

If it is always the same background and you just want a template that you can enter any text you want into…

Make a new text layer above the background.
Duplicate the background to a layer above the text.
Group the new layer with the text.
Add a bevel and emboss layer style to the text.

Now no matter what you change the text to it will be filled with the image data from the duplicate background layer.

Maybe to you but not to someone that isn’t familiar with actions.

OW’s off her meds again.
retro- record an action so you can duplicate again anytime.
