Very frustrating… Im used to using Mac OSX but now using WinXP.

When I try to duplicate and move a selection, Ctrl + Alt + Arrow does not work.

Ctrl + Alt + Shift + Arrow works though.

Anyone know the cause/solution? -Nick

Works for me. Are you sure you are just not noticing the one pixel moves? Shift makes the move ten pixels. What does your History say after you’ve done this?

It does nothing at all. Im actually wondering if this is a memory problem or something, because ive noticed it *sometimes* works when I first start up my computer. But it seems that the (ctrl + alt + shift + arrow) wouldnt work either if that’s the case. Another possibility is that WinXP or Dell has hotkey settings that disable the (ctrl + alt + arrow) function. It does work when I have the ‘move’ tool selected and use (alt + arrow) to duplicate move a selection. Any ideas. -Nick

And History says?

Maybe trash preferences.

Occasionally, I’ve seen this problem and it’s because another program has hijacked the shortcut. Common apps which do this are Instant Message programs. So, if you have one running in the background, try shutting it down and see what happens.

None whatsoever. And the same applies to Yahoo, ICQ and any IRC client you can think of. Get it all in one package by downloading either the free version of Trillian, or pay for the latest version at:

Alternatively go to Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs and click on Windows components. Scroll down till you see Windows Messenger and uncheck the box. Then hit OK. Bye-bye Windows Messenger.
