I am trying to make a stone texture that will be able to tile. The stone needs to look like an ancient brick wall, kind of like the stone walls in a moldy cathedral.

I’m kind of new to photoshop so if you could go into some detail when explaining I would be very happy.

Open your web browser.
Go to a search engine like Dogpile.com or Metasearch.com. Type in the keywords "Photoshop stone texture tutorial". Hit Enter
Click on the various links that will come up, and check out the myriad of tutorials out there. Try the techniques clearly described therein.

The Adobe Forums are not really tutorial sites to teach you how to make cool effects. There are literally dozens of those out there, go forth and search.

The Adobe Forums are more for when users have questions regarding the various tools, dialogs, etc. and are looking for expertise or differing approaches to solving a problem.

If you are trying to learn how to use Photoshop, this site will help, but is not the best place to go, as that is not this Forum’s intended purpose.

Check out Adobe training off the menu bar above.
