Is it possible to edit EXIF tags with Photoshop, maybe via a plugin?
Occasionally I need to edit the EXIF date and time when some camera’s time has been incorrect and a 1 second precision is sometimes needed. A batch processing capability would also be nice…
So far I have used PhotoInfo 1.02 GUI app for Mac OS X and it works OK although it can only change the time in 15 minute – 24 hour intervals.
In a search for a more precise app I found jhead which is an UNIX app which runs nicely in Mac OS X. Hmm… maybe I should finally learn how to make a GUI for these UNIX apps because although running jhead in CLI wasn’t so bad I still prefer GUI.

….I had digital camera images taken in the same trip by four persons and I synchronized the EXIF time stamps so iPhoto can display them in the right order and so that I can later use apps like Cameraid to automatically rename the files and their file-dates based on their EXIF info.

What made this difficult was that two cameras were incorrectly set for winter time and their time wasn’t perfectly in sync with the "main" camera even after advancing the EXIF data by 1 hour. And there were some scenes where a 1-10 second precision was needed to preserve the sync.
To make matters more difficult there was a batch of images digitized from color negatives and the lab has digitized them in the wrong order and their EXIF data was completely wrong (the digitizing time) so I had to manually set the EXIF dates via jhead.
