eps drawing as a new layer

I am having a hard time adding eps drawings as a new layer. Prior to my printing problems (which I finally fixed)I was able to simply drag the eps drawing right into drawing which I was working and photoshop would create the proper layer for it, but now I can’t do that. Any idea why?

Are you in an image mode that allows new layers? You can’t drag something into an indexed color gif, for instance, and expect to get a new layers. Use Image/Mode to change to RGB first.

awwwwww I never thought about that……..duh…..you were right I forgot all about it. Yes I wasn’t in rgb mode. Thanks alot.
