Hi.
I just reformatted my windows xp, and am in the process of reinstalling all of my apps. I’ve got PS CS on board, and it initally worked fine. To continue my reinstalls, I’ve been loading some filters – by copying them to the plug-ins folder. Since then, I’ve gotten an error that the Opengl.dll file is missing and that Photoshop.exe cannot open. It suggests that I "reinstall the application" to see if that fixes the problem. However, it doesn’t say WHICH app to reinstall. If I click the x on this dialog box, it closes, Photoshop continues loading, and eventually opens normally. It functions just fine. I’ve done some web searching, and Opengl.dll appears to be some sort of graphics file. I’ve reinstalled my Video (Matrox G400)
Driver, as well as reinstalled Photoshop. Neither have helped. On the web, the only available downloadable opengl file is opengl32.dll – this is not the same file. Does anyone know what this file is? Where does it reside? How can I download a new one to replace it? In the absence of that, how can I get rid of the annoying error message? Please don’t suggest reinstalling Windows yet again; I’ve just done it twice in 3 weeks, and that’s just not gonna happen to fix this otherwise minor problem. (I’ve done a *.dll search on another clean winxp computer, and opengl.dll does not exist on that computer, so I don’t think a windows replacement would help anyhow; it appears to be a file from another app). Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
