Now and then I have this issue where my font doesn’t go smaller…if that makes sense. A size 6 font will look like a size 12, though before it was fine. Even on normal fonts, say with Arial. Size 12 looks like it’s 24. The only thing that ever seems to fix it is reinstalling, but maybe someone knows what’s happening with it, so I can prevent it. Thanks. This is with Photoshop 7.0.

Check that the image resolution is at least 72 ppi. Lower numbers can mess up fonts. It usually happens when you accidentally enter a lower number in the resolution field when starting an image, and this number stays there until fixed (like a reinstall will).

Yup. Forgot to add the 2 to the end of my 72 once. Took me a while to figure that one out.

Well, this happened mid way through working on the image. I checked anyways to make sure the ppi was set right, and it’s at the default 200. Any other ideas?

Are you looking at the image at 100% enlargement? You might have hit a shortcut to a resize by mistakes.

Yep. And even when I make a new image, it’s still the same.

Okay, you have just about eliminated everything I can think of. My last gasp is that the horizontal and vertical scale have been changed (in the character palette) but I don’t know how this could happen accidently.

Tried. That didn’t work either, I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it this time, didn’t fix the issue.
