Dear Friends,

We are having P4, Win98, 1GB RAM, 1.7GHz machine on which we have loaded Photoshop 6.0.1. The scratch disks are D and E drives respectively, having sufficient space. When we work on an image file of size 304 MB, we are getting this error "Could Not Save <file> because there is not enough memory (RAM)". Wish if anyone could help us resolve this issue. We have restarted the machine many times to clear the buffer cache.

Thanks in Advance,
Br. Sriram.

Reduce that to 60% and see if it helps…

Dear Jay Jhabrix,

I tried reducing the allotment of RAM to 60% but still I am getting the same error.

Thanks in Advance,
Sriram.

check the drive where the ps scratch file resides to make sure you have enough disk space. also check the drive where the windows swapfile resides. in PS speak RAM often means "scratch space" on the hard drive.
