i’m trying to use photos inside quarkxpress. i’m having a difficult time printing. i’ve been told it’s because all my images are eps. when i adjust my images in photoshop6.1 and convert them to quadtones, because this is what’s required, the option to save them as a tiff is not available to me in the pull down menu in the save as window in photoshop. is this typical, if so what can i do? thanks

I suspect, Krystal, that you don’t want QUADTONES … you want FOUR-COLOR PROCESS … two different things. I could be WRONG … maybe you DO want quadtones, but that’s AWFULLY unusual. If I’m right, then instead of making quadtones, just change the mode to CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) … and you can save THAT as a TIFF.

There is no way to save an actual quadtone as a TIFF … best shot would be saving the quadtone as a PSD file … Quark might be able to accept those …. I’m not sure.

Good luck!

You can only save them as EPS or PSD. Very easily placable in InDesign, by the way.

Quark will NOT import PSD files.
