Hi there, Using photoshop 7 and windows XP, I try to aquire an image via my Minolta Dimage III Dual Scan, Photoshop does not recognize it.

I can use the Minolta software fine. Micrografx Picture Publisher finds the scanner just fine.

MS WORD 2000 finds the scanner fine. Only Photoshop seems not to see it.

Any one know a tweak fix? I have un-installed and re-installed Photoshop but to no avial.

Thanks in advance

Jim

Hi, I have had the same problem I changed the pic from a bmp to a bbb. goofy I know but it worked. I also had a arc soft camera and photoshop would not support the file so I had to change this format also.

Laura, Not quite the same issue. Photoshop does not even recognize the scanner to allow me to scan in any format.

Thanks

Dave.. thanks did that as well, 2 times now..Minolta has not been of much use, as the scanner works in just about every application but, Photoshop 7.I have them working on the fact that it does not set up in XP when adding a imaging device, because XP is asking for a port the D3 is connected to, This is a usb scanner and XP asks for parellel, or com1 or com 2..

Still if other programs recognize the scanner, and it works using those programs.. why would PS 7 not?

Thanks

I have Photoship 7.01 on Windows XP with 512 MB of RDRAM. I have a lot of JPEG images in one folder. When I open the folder, the Photoshop icons in front of the file name load very slowly, one at a time.
Any idea on how to get them to load instantly?

Hello

Have you got the Photoshop Twain_32 file?
If you have only loaded Photoshop filters, the Twain is left out. You need to load the filters for Image Ready as well.
I had that trouble when I first used Photoshop 7 and my scanner. It’s in the Import/Export folder.

Hi Mike:
If you are replying to my posting (#6) on slow loading of Photoshop icons, yes, I have Twain_32.8BA installed there.
Thanks for your reply.
Any other ideas?
